The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) is the largest and oldest national construction trade association in the United States.

The American Welding Society was founded in 1919 as a multifaceted, nonprofit organization with a goal to advance the science, technology and
application of welding and related joining disciplines. The mission of the American Welding Society is to advance the science, technology and
application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes, including brazing,soldering and thermal spraying.
GAWDA is currently a 60-year-old trade association serving 500 gases and welding supply distributors and 275 manufacturers,
and is the major trade association representing the industrial gases and welding supply industry. The association was formed
to facilitate the industry’s supply chain and to promote the value of distribution.
